Summer Makeup Look 2018

Summer is here, and I thought I'd share with you the makeup look that I have been loving wearing this last month, and will probably be wearing throughout the rest of the summer too. It's very vibrant, with bright lips and eyes, and glowing bronzed cheeks, perfect for a summery daytime look, which can easily be worn during the night too. I have linked all the products I have used for this look below, and I hope you enjoy my summer makeup look for 2018.

I start by priming my face with the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, as I want my makeup to stay put and not sweating off my face while I'm out in the sun, I just apply this with my fingers all over my face. Next up is foundation, I like using a matte foundation in the summer like Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation because when I use a dewy foundation in the summer I just end up looking oily and sweaty, so I stick with a medium coverage matte foundation and I apply this all over with a damp beauty blender. As always my chosen concealer is my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer , which I dab under my eyes and over any blemishes you can still see through my foundation, I tend to just go back in with my beauty blender to blend it all together. For the last part of my base I dust E.L.F B Bare Finishing Powder all over my face with a fluffy powder brush, focusing on my forehead, cheeks and nose, since I want to keep my base as matte as possible and don't want smudgy or melting makeup half way through the day.

Brows are next; I use the MUA Eyebrow Pencil in brunette to lightly line my brow shape, I like using this pencil as it's quite a waxy formula which I find easy to apply. I then use Lottie London Arch Rivals Volume Powder to fill in my brow and set the eyebrow pencil into place for the rest of the day. I sometimes have to go back in with my concealer and a flat brush to neaten up any smudges to make sure my brows are 100% on fleek.

Next up is my eyes, which I am actually keeping really simple for this look but it will look super cute and summery. I start with some Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Primer which I dab onto my eyelid to keep my eyeshadow in place. Next up I grab a fluffy eyeshadow brush and my beloved Makeup Revolution Midnight Unicorn Palette, going in with the colour Midnight, which is a cute peachy shade, and I blend this out all over my eyelids. After blending out the eyeshadow until it looks even on both sides, I go straight in with my Blue Barry M Eyeliner, which is a metallic blue pencil liner, and I just simply line my upper eyelid and bring it out into a medium length wing. Obviously I repeat this on both eyes, making sure the pencil is sharp so I can go back in and neaten it up and make sure the wings end in a sharp point. I then grab a thin eyeshadow brush and dip it into the colour Majestic from my Midnight Unicorn palette, and I just dab it over the blue eyeliner, being careful not to smudge the liner or dab the brush too hard; the reason I use eyeshadow over the top of the liner is that it tends to rub off and smudge and the eyeshadow ensures for a longer wear, plus it adds a little extra shimmer to the look. Lastly for the eyes is mascara (my least favourite part of my makeup routine). I am currently using the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara which is best to use if you want long and voluminous lashes, which is the only type of lash that I like. I apply plenty of mascara to my top and bottom lashes; occasionally with this look I'll also apply some blue Collection Extreme Coloured Lengthening Mascara for a super summery and festival ready look.

When my eyes are complete, I use a bronzer brush to apply some Nude By Nature Mineral Bronzer to my cheeks, forehead, nose and chin, so it looks like I have super sun kissed and tanned skin. Then onto my favourite part...highlighter! I am really loving the Makeup Revolution Ghost Lights Highlighter, which has a gorgeous pearly pink glow; I generously apply this with my fan brush all over my cheekbones, the tip of my nose, my cupids bow and my brow bones for an all over gorgeous pinky glow. Finally for my face I spritz a little Primark Work Out Fix Up Spray to set my makeup and help keep it in place while I'm out in the heaving sunshine.

To end my summer makeup look, I line my lips with my PS Bright Pink Lip Liner, as this look has a bright pink lip. With a lip brush I apply my favourite pink lipstick, the No.7 Match Made Stay Perfect Lipstick in Raspberry Blush, which I think totally brings this look together.

Thank you for staying to find out about my 2018 summer makeup look, I hope you all enjoyed it!
