We are currently in the prime of summer, and I thought this would be the perfect time to share a few of my summer favourites and essentials for 2018 (click here to see my summer faves and essentials for 2017). There are definitely some essential products on this list, like SPF 50 and cute bikinis, as well as a few things I've been loving so far this summer, like green lipstick and funky heart-shaped sunnies. Cetaphil Daily Defence Moisturiser SPF 50 - I struggle to find a good SPF for your face, bt this Cetaphil daily moisturiser is absolutely perfect. As well as it being a great little daily moisturiser for your face, it's also SPF 50. It's not greasy or oily at all and absorbs into skin very well and leaves your face feeling soft and hydrated, as well as having a high sun protection factor or 50 so you know your face isn't turning into a lobster under your makeup.
Essence Vibrant Shock Lipstick - If you can't wear a teal/green lipstick during the summer festivities then when else can you? This green Essence lipstick is great for jazzing up your summer makeup and it practically screams music festivals and beach parties. This is definitely an essential for me this summer, because I love adding a little bit of extra colour to summer looks.
Sanctuary Spa Wonder Body - This was featured in my 2017 summer essentials and it has returned. This Sanctuary product gives you smooth, moisturised and glowing skin; it's basically a tinted moisturiser for your body infused with yummy scents and oils to help keep your skin smooth and soft during the summer heat. It's great to apply to your shoulders and arms to give you a bronzed glow, or to help extenuate your summer tan.
Shawn Mended Signature Fragrance - This has been my favourite fragrance all year and I'm glad that it's such a versatile scent that can be worn all year round, day and night. This maple sweet and appley fresh unisex fragrance is perfect for the summer, and the rollerball fragrance is literally perfect for travelling or keeping in your handbag to spritz yourself up on the go.
Makeup Bags - So a makeup bag is a very useful and essential item during the summer, because your going to be traveling a lot and staying out all night and you are definitely going to need to touch up your makeup on them long sweaty days. I recently got this Primark Slytherin Makeup Up Bag which I love using because it's a decent size, a great design and fits easily into a bag or suitcase. But most importantly there are literally thousand of different makeup bags to choose from so it's not hard to find the one that's right for you, whether you want it big or small or pink or blue or clear or colourful, the right one is out there for you.
Funky Sunglasses - Cool sunglasses are a must for the summer; I've shamelessly purchased 3 pairs of sunglasses for the summer, but my favourite are these Pink Heart-Shaped Sunglasses from Primark. I think they are just perfect for summer and can easily be worn with any summer outfit.
Bikini - This is obviously an essential for the summer, you are 100% going to need a bikini or bathing suit if you're planning on hitting the beach or catching some sun rays. I love my super cute, light blue, palm tree and flamingo print bikini from Primark, which only cost £10. I mean a bikini is just an essential for summer, whether you're at the beach, the pool, sunbathing in the garden or on holiday.
Morny Aloe Vera Moisturising Cream - This Aloe Vera body moisturiser is great for smoothing onto your skin in the summer, as it's light and absorbs quickly, because who want's to wait around for the body lotion to dry when they could be out enjoying their summer. Not to mention the Aloe Vera is very soothing if you've gotten a little sun burnt, so just slathering this stuff onto your delicate skin and it will instantly cool and sooth your burnt skin.
Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturiser - I am loving this moisturiser right now,especially since summer means sweaty and oily skin; this moisturiser is great to smooth onto your face and stop greasy skin spoiling your day. The oil balancing element means the moisture levels in your skin are being maintained throughout the day and also controls skin (who wants a shiny face in the summer). I find this is also great to use as a base for your makeup as it absorbs excess oil and mattifies your skin, leaving your face smooth, hydrated and ready for anything.
Collection Bronze Glow Shimmer - This Collection bronzer is the best for a buildable summer glow, with a slight golden shimmer to add to your glowy, sun-kissed skin. This product is 100% buildable so it's perfect for when you just want a subtle glow on your cheeks or if you want to go full bronzed to match your summer tan, plus it's perfect for nearly all skin tones, as it comes it light, medium and dark. This bronzer is super affordable and handbag friendly so you can always be glowing.
Cat Ears or Flower Crowns - Summer is the time to express yourself and be a little daring with your fashion choices, no one is judging you. I love to add a flower crown or cute cat ears to my summer outfits just to jazz them uo a little; I am loving these floral cat ears from Forever 21 and this adorable pom pom headband from New Look.Simple, easy and effortless in making any outfit a little more exciting and fresh.
Nivea Fruity Shine Watermelon Lip Balm - If you want effortlessly soft, hydrated and lightly tinted lips, this watermelon wonder is the lip product for you. This formula with Hydra IQ means your lips will have long lasting moisture so you don;t get chapped and flaky lips during the summer. It smells deliciously sweet and fruity like a yummy summer cocktail and leaves you with shiny, soft lips, plus there's a variety of other flavours like Peach, Strawberry and Blackberry.

Temporary Spray-In Hair Dye - Spray in hair dye is super fun and creative and perfect for giving your hair some summer colour, not to mention this stuff just washes straight out. I really like the L'Oreal Colorista Spray and the Superdrug Pick & Mix Spray, which both come in a wide range of colours like, purple pink, blue, green and rose gold. This stuff is no fuss, simple to use, instant colour and can be used in 100s of creative ways to suit your style.
Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes - Face wipes are a super quick and easy way to remove makeup and dirt if you're unable to get to a sink, like if you're camping or whatnot. These Simple wipes are designed sensitive skin and come in a handy packet that makes the easy to pack and travel with, which can be essential in the summer time. If you're too tired to deal with fancy cleansers and cotton pads when you get home late at night, these kind to skin wipes will definitely do the. trick.
