March Favourites 2019
March went really quickly for me, I can barely remember what happened, let alone remember all the things I've loved and discovered throughout the month. However I did manage to compile a list of a few things I have loved this month and managed to get a decent blog post out of it for you guys.
Beauty & Fashion
Shay & Blue Black Tulip Natural Spray Fragrance - I recently got given a small bottle of the Black Tulip fragrance by Shay & Blue and it was the first time I had ever smelt it. This fragrance is very different to scents that I usually wear, with heavy noted of plum and woods, but it smells beautiful. It's elegant, floral and warm, quite a nice fragrance to shift from winter to spring. I've found myself wearing it quite often this month because I love the new scent, usually I love sweet, candyfloss scented fragrances, but it's nice to smell something different on me.
Olay Regenerist Whip Cream - I tried a free sample of this luscious whip cream, not knowing too much about it other than it was a whipped formula, but I'm glad I did try it because it is a fab face cream. I noticed instantly how lightweight it was and how quickly it has absorbed into my skin, leaving my face feeling super soft and matte and ready for makeup application. The formula contains Vitamin B3, Emino-Peptide Complex and Pro-Vitamin B5 to make skin appear wrinkle and fine line free.
Black Platform Ankle Boots - I can't resist a pair of black, chunky or platform shoes, I snatched these bad boys right up from New Look this month while they were on sale at only £10. I've actually been wearing them a lot this month, so I've already gotten my moneys worth out of them; they're quite comfy and casual, so they're perfect for a day out which involves lots of walking around. Absolute bargain boots.
GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer - This month I have been loving using this illuminating moisturiser mixed in with my favourite foundation for a subtle and gorgeous spring glow. This Glowstarter moisturiser smells just like jelly babies and when mixed in with my foundation it applies seamlessly for a healthy and subtle glow; you can also be used before or without foundation or can be dabbed onto your cheekbones for a nice pop. This product also made it onto my Spring Favourites blog post a couple of weeks ago, click here if you want to check it out.
Twenty One Pilots Bandana - While at the Twenty One Pilots concert at the beginning of this month, I bought a yellow TOP bandana from the merch stand, as I wasn't really feeling any of the T-shirts they had; I didn't really look at it properly until I'd left the concert but it's basically a yellow bandada with the name of the tour and a picture of a vulture, and at first I thought I'd pin it up on my wall like a small tapestry. Instead of doing that I started experimenting with wearing it in my hair and I actually loved how it looked so I just kept doing it. I never wear yellow and it's very much a spring colour, I think I've found my new spring hairstyle, complete with the sunshine yellow bandana round my head.
Entertainment
Simple Creatures EP - Alex Gaskarth and Mark Hoppus' new band Simple Creatures have just released their first EP called Strange Love, containing 6 amazing trash-pop tunes and I am sort of loving it. I really can't stop listening to it, my favourites from the EP are 'Drug', their first track, and a new track 'Ether'. All the sounds sound quite different to Blink 182 and All Time Low, but they contain elements of both of their sounds and of course they all sound amazing because it's fronted by two pop punk legends. If you're a lover of Blink or ATL then I'd highly recommend you checking out this EP, I'm sure you'd love it.
The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off - I love The Great British Bake Off normally but The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off with four new celebrities each week has been brilliant and hilarious. If you haven't been watching then you would have missed the first episode where Russell Brand made some shocking but actually quite amazing vagina biscuits and wowed everyone in the tent. If you want to watch something that will give you a good laugh then you need to check out an episode of this if you haven't already.
Food & Drink
Morrisons Sparkling Peach Water - I love anything that tastes like peach - peach Fanta, peach Cola, fizzy peach Candy Kittens - and lately I've been drinking a lot of the sparkling peach water from Morrisons, who sells it in big bottles as well as tiny bottles which are 4 for £1, which I've bought a lot of to keep in the fridge and take out with me. Not to mention that it's much better for you than drinking a bottle of cola or other fizzy drinks, because it's just carbonated water with flavourings.
Other
Twenty One Pilots Concert At Wembley - If you saw my recent blog post 'Seeing Twenty One Pilots at Wembley Arena' then you'd know already that I saw them in concert earlier this month and they were absolutely incredible. It was an amazing set with burning cars, walking over the crowd, floating beanies and lots of incredible drumming, and I had an incredible view of it all. Click here to check out the blog post all about it!
Spring Walks - It is finally feeling like spring and I am so so happy that it's getting warmer and sunnier after such a cold couple of months. I really enjoy going out walking when the weather is like this and there's lots of blossom trees and I don't have to wear a thick coat out. All the sunshine and warm weather has really getting excited for summer and I can't wait for it to be hot enough for long days, summer dresses and days on the beach.
I hope you liked this blog post, sorry if it felt a bit short this month but It's been one of them times when I've not been paying attention because I've been a little sick this month and the stress from uni work. I'd love to know what things you've all been loving throughout March so let me know down below so I can try them out too!
